CONVERGENCE-CONTINUUM IS HOLDING AUDITIONS
FOR THE NEOMFA PLAYWRIGHTS FESTIVAL: TUES, DEC 15 AT 7 PM
at the Liminis Theatre, 2438 Scranton Rd, Cleve 44113 (Tremont neighborhood)

LOTS OF ROLES AVAILABLE FOR A FUN AND EXCITING EXPERIENCE TO KICK OFF OUR
2016 SEASON! The Festival will be held Feb 11-13 and Feb 18-20, with
intensive rehearsals beginning Jan 4.  See below for info on shows and
roles.

scripts. No prepared monologues required.)

THE SPLIT SHOW, by Lisa Langford (directed by Michael Oatman)

Full-length play, split between over-the-top comedy and realistic drama.
50s, African American (Medea-esque character, played by a man, Maybelle
“Momdukes” Clemmons)
20s, African American (Porsha)
50s, African American (Momdukes’ neighbor, Mr. Wilson, and doubles as Warren)
50s African American (Mr. Wilson’s estranged wife)
40s, White, mom-to-be, married to Isaac (Melissa Brustein)
30s, White, married to Melissa. (Isaac Brustein)
any age, white (Protester)
voice-over/offstage (Announcer/Newscaster/Judge)

MASTER MICHAEL, by Logan Cutler Smith (Directed by Clyde Simon)

Full-length play, comedy/drama/mockumentary about Michael Jackson.  Five
actors play many multiple roles including some that won’t necessarily
always match the sex, age and/or race of the actor.
Actor 1 (African-American man)
Actor 2 (white woman)
Actor 3 (African-American woman)
Actor 4 (African-American youth)
Actor 5 (white man)

THE LAST STAND ON MANGO STREET, by Sam Amazing (Directed by Geoffrey Hoffman)

One-act play, approx. 20 minutes, drama/suspense/sci-fi. This is a ONE
PERSON SHOW.  Actor must be capable of memorizing long monologues and have
a wide emotional range.
Male or female, any race.  Prefer age 40ish or older.

THE LAST WORD, by Jaclyn Cifranic (Directed by Cory Molner)

Short one-act, thriller with a touch of comedy.
Two professional “hitmen” – any gender, race, age
The “hit” – male, any age, race
