*AUDITIONS*: Friday 2/12 4-pm, Saturday 2/13 2-pm and Sunday 2/14 1-5 pm

*CALLBACKS*:  Friday 2/19 4-pm, Saturday 2/20 2-pm and Sunday 2/21 1-5 pm

Auditions are being held jointly for *Fiddler on the Roof* and *Into the
Woods *so you may audition for both productions with one appointment on any
of these dates; it is possible to be in both productions. Callbacks will be
held separately.

*ELIGIBILITY* for the summer productions requires enrollment in at least
one session of the HBTI summer training program. *Fiddler on the Roof is*
open to students in 3rd grade through college

There is a fee of $250 to be in the summer production

*PREPARATIONS for Fiddler on the Roof: *Please prepare a one-minute,
memorized musical selection that is object driven (pursuing a goal through
a song) and a one-minute memorized monologue from a play.  Bring sheet
music, an accompanist will be provided. Download and fill out the audition
form and complete the conflict calendar. Please bring these with you to the
audition. These forms will be sent to you when you get confirmation of your
audition appointment through email or can be found on the HBTI web site at HBTI

*PERFORMANCES*: July 1, 2, 3, 8, 9, 10, 15, 16 and 17, 2016

*REHEARSALS*

• May 31- July 24; Weekdays, 4:00 - 8:00 pm. During these weeks there may
also be Saturday and/or Sunday rehearsals (Saturday: morning or afternoon,
Sunday: afternoon or evening).

• July 25-30. Tech week and dress rehearsals weekdays 5:00 - 10:00 pm and
weekend days Noon - 9:00 pm.  A dinner break will be built into the weekend
rehearsals.

•   Depending upon the size of your role and onstage time, you will be
called to between 2-6 rehearsals per week during the development phase and
then all the rehearsals the last two weeks.

*A musical theatre tradition, Tevye the milkman tries to protect his
daughters and his way of life from a changing world.*

Winner of 9 TONY Awards when it debuted in 1964, *Fiddler on the Roof* is
the brainchild of Broadway legends Jerome Robbins, Harold Prince,
songwriters Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick, and book writer Joseph Stein.
Touching audiences worldwide with its humor, warmth and honesty, this
universal show is a staple of the musical theatre canon.

Set in the little village of Anatevka, the story centers on Tevye, a poor
dairyman, and his five daughters. With the help of a colorful and
tight-knit Jewish community, Tevye tries to protect his daughters and
instill them with traditional values in the face of changing social mores
and the growing antisemitism of Czarist Russia. Rich in historical and
ethnic detail, *Fiddler on the Roof**'s* universal theme of tradition cuts
across barriers of race, class, nationality and religion, leaving audiences
crying tears of laughter, joy and sadness.

*The Brothers Grimm hit the stage with an epic fairy tale about wishes,
family and the choices we make.*

James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone's favorite storybook
characters and bring them together for a timeless yet relevant piece and
rare modern classic. The TONY Award-winning book and score are both
enchanting and touching.

The story follows a Baker and his wife who wish to have a child, Cinderella
who wishes to attend the King's Festival, and Jack who wishes his cow would
give milk. When the Baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child
because of a Witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the
curse. Everyone's wish is granted, but the consequences of their actions
return to haunt them later with disastrous results.
