[NEohioPAL] "Violet" Auditions for role of Monty at Laurel School

Laurel School, an all-girls Pre-K-12 independent school in Shaker Heights, seeks a high school, college, or professional male to play the lead role of Monty in their Upper School main stage musical production. There is a stipend for professional actors. Violet tells the story of a young disfigured woman who embarks on a journey by bus from her farm in Spruce Pine, North Carolina, all the way to Tulsa, Oklahoma in order to be healed.

Monty

A paratrooper and Flick's friend from basic training. Rough around the edges. Self-consumed, but not necessarily purposefully so. Fighting his own demons.
Gender: Male Age: 20 to 30 Vocal range top: G5 Vocal range bottom: A3

The production rehearses most days Monday through Friday, with occassional Saturdays, from now through the last week of February. Rehearsals are typically held from 3:30pm-5:30pm (and later until 6:00 and 6:30pm). All rehearsals and shows are held at Laurel School’s Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights. The production runs from Thursday February 25th- Saturday February 27th. This production is also part of the Playhouse Square High School Musical Theater Awards program, and the Dazzle Awards ceremony held on Saturday May 21st, 2016 at the Connor Palace at Playhouse Square.
