Cleveland Play House, America’s first regional theatre andrecipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is accepting applicationsfor a Scenic Artist.  The Scenic Artist’sprimary responsibility is to assist the Charge Scenic Artist in mixing colors,creating samples, and executing the treatments for all scenic elements.Qualified candidates must be knowledgeable in realistic faux finishes, 3Dtexturing, cartooning, and staining. The ability to take direction well, workindependently, and lift 50lbs is required. Ideal applicants will becollaborative, flexible, positive, communicative, and able to assist in thesupervision and leading of an apprentice and overhire scenic artists. A minimumof 1-3 years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre, isrequired. Position is full-time, seasonal, and eligible for benefits.Engagement runs August 1st 2016 to May 5th, 2017.
