Beck Center for the Arts’ Youth Theater is accepting resumes for Stage Managers for the 2016-2017 Youth Theater Season.  This is a paid position (modest flat fee per production). Please indicate for which shows you are interested and available.  At this time, all shows are available with the exception of CARRIE the Musical.

YOUTH THEATER SHOW #1: MACKEY MAIN STAGE

ALICE’S ADVENTURES IN WONDERLAND

Alice adventures into a world of talking flowers, comic royalty and continually circling races!  Along the way Alice must deal with the Mad Hatter’s frantic tea party, the mysteriously disappearing Cheshire Cat,  the eternal bickering of Tweedledum and Tweedledee, a plethora of kings, queens and knaves - before finally attending a trial - where she suddenly finds herself the accused!  Follow that famous White Rabbit to a delightful, entertaining world of childhood fantasies.

We all know that pirates work hard, but did you know they play hard too? Aargh! takes a look at the sillier side of the pirate’s life.  Travel through time on the hilarious high seas with decks to swab and treasure to find.  Don’t miss this new comedy from the creator of It’s All Greek To Me, Once Upon a Decade, Hillbilly Holiday, and Going Medieval.

At home, she’s at the mercy of her loving but cruelly over-protective mother.  But Carrie’s just discovered she’s got a special power, and if pushed too far, she’s not afraid to use it …

Tom, a nerve-wracked school teacher nervous about his first day of teaching, tries to relax by watching TV when various characters representing facets of his personality emerge from the set.  Together, they show him how to win his students over with imagination and music, through such beloved songs as “Just A Bill,” “Lolly, Lolly, Lolly” and “Conjunction Junction.” This stage adaptation of the Emmy Award-winning 1970s Saturday morning cartoon series is fun for all ages!
