Lone Star

"LONE STAR is an uproarious comedy about two bawdily rambunctious Texas
brothers peppered with the playwright's own special brand of cascading,
spontaneous wit." -NY Times

The play takes place in the back yard of a small-town Texas bar. Roy, a
brawny, macho type who had once been a local high-school hero, is back in
town after a hitch in Vietnam and trying to reestablish his position in the
community. Joined by his younger brother, Ray (who worships him), Roy sets
about consuming a case of beer while regaling Ray with tales of his military
and amorous exploits. Roy cherishes three things above all; his country, his
sexy young wife, and his 1959 pink Thunderbird.

Directed by Nancy Cates
Featuring Ryan Zarecki, Derrick Winger, and Jeremy Jenkins

The Upstart Crow

"By the end, the weeping audience had successfully traveled to another time
period. (The lovely movie Shakespeare In Love accomplished something
similar.)" -The Mountain Xpress

A newer play about older times. Shakespeare's daughter, Susanna Shakespeare
Hall, travels to the Globe after her father's death and meets Richard
Burbage, her father's former business partner and life-long friend. Using
Shakespeare's own words, the two unravel the life, loves, and loss of the
Bard. This comedy-drama explores the playwright, and the people he loved,
through old words with a new lens.

Directed by Terry Burgler
Featuring Terry Burgler* and Lara Mielcarek*
