LCCC Presents 39th Annual Holiday Choral Concert at Stocker Arts Center

Lorain County Community College's Civic Chorale and Civic Orchestra will present the 39th Annual Holiday Choral Concert at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, December 2 at the Stocker Arts Center's Hoke Theatre. More than 150 singers and instrumentalists will perform under the direction of conductor and director of choral music performance, Nancy Davis.

The concert will feature Poulenc's "Gloria" with Janine Porter, soprano soloist. The program will also include "The Many Moods of Christmas,"  an arrangement of traditional Christmas carols for chorus and orchestra, and selections from Handel's "Messiah," including the ever-popular "Hallelujah" chorus.  "Solid Brass," an all-brass ensemble, will delight the audience during the intermission with festive holiday music in the Stocker Arts Center lobby.

LCCC Presents Collegiate Choral Concert

Lorain County Community College's Arts and Humanities division's Collegiate Choral Concert will perform at 3 p.m. on Sunday, December 3 in the Hoke Theatre of Stocker Arts Center. This concert will feature special guest choir, Oberlin Choristers, Una Voce.

LCCC Stocker Arts Center Hosts "A Christmas Cabaret"

Lorain County Community College's Stocker Arts Center's Musical Theater Project presents "A Christmas Cabaret" at 8 p.m. on Friday, December 15 and at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 16 at the Cirigliano Studio Theatre of Stocker Arts Center.

Before you can say "Sleigh ride," Stocker Arts Center is back with its annual holiday treat! The show isn't complete until everyone joins in on "White Christmas" - but that's just one of several dozen songs that appeal to every generation. Featuring Nancy Maier, Joe Monaghan, Bill Rudman and Sandra Simon, the hits range from "Winter Wonderland," "Let It Snow" and "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," to Irving Berlin's 101-year-old salute to Santa Claus and the inevitable tributes to Rudolph, Frosty and that mean one, Mr. Grinch.

Tickets are $20 each or $10 for LCCC students with a valid ID, children 18 and under and active duty military with a valid ID.
