Are you inspired by the "Godmother of Rock n' Roll?" Submit a cover of one of these songs to be entered into a chance to perform at the Opening Night of Cleveland Play House's production of Marie & Rosetta in front of media and fans!

Sister Rosetta Tharpe inspired the likes of Elvis, Hendrix, and Little Richard, and now she's the 2018 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Early Influence Inductee! We want to hear YOUR take on one of these 5 iconic Sister Rosetta songs (all featured in the play).

All entries will receive a discount code for tickets to a performance of their choice (based on availability)! Select covers will be featured on the CPH Social Media channels, and the Top 3 covers will receive tickets to a performance of Marie and Rosetta.
Grand Prize will get to perform at the Opening Night of Marie and Rosetta on January 26, 2018!

Contest Rules:

*        Must be one of the 5 songs listed
*        Submitted to rlucas at clevelandplayhouse.com<mailto:rlucas at clevelandplayhouse.com> via Dropbox, or shared on SoundCloud, or via email attachment
*        Subject line for submission should read "Rock Like Rosetta" Contest Entry
*        Entries accepted no later than January 5, 2018
*        All contestants will be notified about results on or before January 19, 2018
*        Feel free to give us your take on the arrangement, but keep the lyrics the same
*        Submission must be a video or audio recording
*        No band size requirements needed, solo entries or groups accepted, a capella entries will be considered
*        Performers under 18 must have a parent or legal guardian's permission (submitted with entry)
*        Applicants located outside of Ohio will be responsible for their own travel should they be chosen to perform
*        Parking will be provided for winning applicant on opening night
*        No ticket purchase necessary to win
*        Winners who receive tickets will be distributed based on show availability and group size
*        Winner must be able to attend opening night on January 26th, 2018 in Cleveland Ohio
