[NEohioPAL] Canal Fulton Players- Shakespeare in Hollywood Opens Tonight at Pine View Acres Theatre in North Lawrence

On March 9-11, 16-18, 2018, the Canal Fulton Players will be presenting the hilarious, raucous comedy Shakespeare in Hollywood by Ken Ludwig.  This Samuel French Inc. production deals with the making of the 1935 version of Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.  Through a cosmic disturbance, Oberon and Puck are transported to Hollywood when the two actors who are to play their parts in the movie withdraw from the production.  The real Oberon and Puck are cast to play themselves and they encounter James Cagney, Dick Powell, Joe E. Brown, and two young actresses, one who will become an icon while the other disappeared into the landscape.  Complete with arguing puppets, donkey heads and a rabid censor, this play will make you laugh until your sides hurt.  Friday and Saturday performances are at 7:30 pm.  Sunday performances are at 3:00 pm.  Pine View Acres Theatre is at 4194 Butterbridge Road, North Lawrence, Ohio which is at the corner of Butterbridge and Orrville Roads.
