[NEohioPAL] Now Hiring -- Part-Time Group Keyboard Instructor for Kids

Broadway School of Music & the Arts (in Slavic Village) is now reviewing resumes for a Group Keyboard Instructor for children K - 8.  This is a short pilot program to start in April -- for 6 weeks on Wednesday afternoons -- with possibility of extending the program through the summer.  Below are the job specs plus contact info. Please respond no later than Friday March 30th.


The ideal candidate will:

  *   Have at minimum a B.M. in Piano Performance, with preferably a Master’s degree in Piano Performance or Music Education.

  *   Have 2 years prior experience teaching piano to children within the K – 8 age range.

  *   Be skilled at and passionate about nurturing the joy of music in young children.

  *   Be able to engage each student at their level of ability, and encourage their growth, including preparation for recitals and outside community performances.

  *   Be comfortable in an urban community setting and with students from a variety of backgrounds.

  *   Be available to teach on Wednesday afternoons & potentially one additional weekday afternoon (Mon thru Fri)

  *   Be able to commit to a weekly Wednesday afternoon lesson schedule this spring for 6 consecutive weeks, possibly to extend through this summer

  *   Be willing to participate in and end-of-term student recital or other activities through which we engage the community.
