*A well-established, thirty-year old Shaker Heights Theatre Camp is seeking
a Music Director for its 2018 summer camp season. This position is well
compensated. *



This position needs a certain someone who can help select specific songs
that will best show off the student, teach those students these songs and
then present them to an audience.



Shaker Summer Theatre Camp, as directed by long-time Artistic Director
Martin Friedman, Ph.D. and Associate Artistic Director Carly Germany,
M.F.A., is unique in that we preach process and not product. This camp
integrates scene work with songs and dancing. Each student is given the
opportunity to participate in solos, duets, trios and several group
numbers. No singing rocks or trees on this stage. Camp is held at John
Carroll University’s Kulas Auditorium.

There are two sessions, each concluding with a Thursday evening and
Friday afternoon
‘presentation’.

Session #1 begins on June 11 and runs through June 29. Session #2
begins on July
9 and runs through July 27.
