Get Hep Swing's Prom is on Saturday, April 28th and it is one of THE biggest swing dances of the year! Everyone is welcome to come and have fun with us. Attend with a date! Attend with a group! Attend stag! No need to have previous dance experience or a dance partner. No need to buy tickets in advance either. Just show up and have fun!

Who will be crowned the new King & Queen at the 2018 Get Hep Swing Prom? Find out during the first band break at 10 pm. Are YOU swing royalty? 

Attend in your finest prom gear and maybe you will end up on the prom court with a chance to win the title of Swing King or Swing Queen! YOU (the audience) get to vote on who will be the next Swing King and Swing Queen! Prizes for the entire prom court! 

You will see all kinds of great prom gear from every era and genre! 40s Prom! 50s Prom! Zombie Prom! 80s Prom! Outer Space Prom! Use your imagination and wow the crowd!

We will have a swanky and fun photo op area ready for your prom photo sessions. 

Jitterbug dance lesson from 8-9 pm. We offer a fun, beginner-friendly lesson with Get Hep Swing founder and world champion swing dancer, Valerie Salstrom. We always review the basic Jitterbug step, talk about the basics of leading and following, and then show a few new moves. Each lesson is unique and you will always pick up unique moves and hints each time you attend a pre-dance lesson at a Get Hep Swing event. These lessons are appropriate for brand new dancers all the way up to advanced dancers. You will not be disappointed!

Immediately after the lesson (at 9 pm) one of the most popular swing dance bands, Red Light Roxy will kick off an awesome night of music and swing dancing until 12 am. 

Only $12* per person. No need to RSVP or buy tickets in advance. Pay in cash at the door. 

The Waterloo Ballroom at the Slovenian Workman's Home is located in the very artsy and lively Collinwood neighborhood. The address is 15335 Waterloo Rd, Cleveland, Ohio 44110.

The Slovenian not only has a beautiful ballroom; they also have a well stocked bar. They have alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks of all kinds for sale--including a very special Slovenian beer- Lasko! 

There are TWO parking lots to the right of the ballroom and there is also some street parking as well. However, if you can carpool with friends that would be recommended. We also have a security guard who keeps an eye on the hall, attendees, and both parking lots.
