Cleveland Play House, America’s first regional theatre andrecipient of the 2015 Regional Theatre Tony Award, is accepting applicationsfor a Properties Carpenter to support a 7 show mainstageseason, school tour, 2 MFA Acting Program shows and a festival for new works. TheProps team consists of the Properties Manager, Assistant Properties Manager,Properties Carpenter, Properties Artisan and Apprentice. Applicants should have2-4 years of professional experience, preferably in regional theatre. Detailedknowledge of advanced woodworking, metal working and welding required. Workingknowledge of mechanics, rigging, and CAD a plus. Must be able to plan projects and work independently, have goodorganizational and communication skills.  PropsCarpenter is primarily responsible for construction, restoration ormodification of furniture, set dressing and hand props built of wood, steel orother materials and assists with the load in and strike of all productions  Also maintains shop tools and equipment aswell as hardware,lumber and metal inventories. Valid driver’s license, able towork at heights and to lift up to 75 lbs. Positionis Full-time Seasonal, eligible for benefits. Contract runs August 27, 2017 to May 12, 2018.
