Position: Accompanist, St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Parma

Details: This position is under the direction of the Music Minister. The accompanist should have excellent keyboard skills and have a good understanding of the Catholic liturgy. Would also like someone who can cantor for themselves. The accompanist will provide organ/piano accompaniment mainly for the Parish Choir who sings at the 10:00 am mass on Sundays and various Holy Days/special services from (September-May). Weekly choir practices are on Thursdays generally from 7:30-9:00 pm. There could also be the possibility of a summer choir if there is enough interest. The accompanist would also play for the Children’s Christmas Choir who sings at the 4:00 pm Christmas Eve Mass. They practice also on Thursdays from 5:00-6:30 pm from October-Christmas.

There could also be additional masses available throughout the year especially a Saturday mass at 6:00 pm from January-Easter.  Pay would be per diem for each mass or practice.
