ISLE OF DOGS SHOWING ON NATIONAL DOG DAY AT THE CAPITOL THEATRE
Featuring a Recorded Conversation with Director Wes Anderson from the Alamo Drafthouse

(Cleveland, OH) The Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65th St., Cleveland) will host a special screening of director Wes Anderson’s acclaimed film ISLE OF DOGS on Sunday, August 26th at 4:00 PM in honor of National Dog Day.

In addition to the film, this special screening will include a pre-recorded conversation between director Anderson and Bob Balaban who provided the voice for the character of King in the film. Produced by the Alamo Drafthouse, this conversation is being shared nationally with other independent cinemas like the Capitol Theatre on National Dog Day.

Filmed using stop motion animation, ISLE OF DOGS tells the story a young Japanese boy name Atari who goes in search of his beloved dog who, like all canines, has been banished to Trash Island.

Style Mutt (3525 Warren Rd, Cleveland) will be providing canine goodie bags for dog owners while supplies last and representatives from The Rescue Inn will be onsite with information about dog adoption opportunities.

National Dog Day was founded in 2004 by Collene Paige, a Pet & Family Lifestyle Expert and Animal Advocate. National Dog Day strives to celebrate all breeds as it raises awareness of the need for pet adoption. Additional information on National Dog Day can be found online at nationaldogday.com.

Tickets to ISLE OF DOGS are $7.00 for adults and seniors, $6.75 for children 12 and under. Tickets can be purchased at the Capitol Theatre box office or online at clevelandcinemas.com.
