Sound and Projection Technician 
The Cleveland Play House (LORTB), the oldest continuously operating regional theatre in America, is acceptingapplications for a Sound Technician.  The Sound and Projection Technicianreports to the Sound and Projection Supervisor.
Responsibilities include:        · Assist with theinstallation and strike of sound plots and projection equipment.        · Assist with theconstruction of any specialty items such as speaker stands or projection stands        · Program andoperate computers and mixing consoles        · Check all soundequipment and video equipment prior to each performance making sure all gear isin proper working order, including charged         batteries in all wireless equipmentand proper focus and alignment of projectors.        · Execute cuesaccurately during technical rehearsals and performances as called by StageManager.        · Help maintainsound and video equipment and tools making sure they are in safe and properworking order.        · Maintain accurateand up to date paper work for each production including sound plot and cuesheets.        · Keep booth, FXroom, and sound storage areas clean and free of debris.        ·  Follow all healthand safety guidelines established by the theatre.  Report any unsafe conditions or practices toyour supervisor immediately.
RelatedResponsibilities:        · Arrive on timeand ready to work.        · Assist other CPHdepartments with in-house sound and video needs as necessary.
Qualifications:   
   - Knowledge of theatrical sound and video systems and equipment including mixing consoles, speakers, microphones, amplifiers, EQ and processing gear, media servers.Experience with recording, editing and playback of sound effects, music and video.
   - Experience with mixing live sound.
   - Working knowledge of theatrical sound and video software including QLab and WatchOut.
   - Able to work as a member of a team but also able to take on individual projects through to completion.
   - Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and able to work from ladders, personnel lifts and other heights.

 

Classification:Full-Time Seasonal, Exempt
