SYNOPSIS
Set in 1957 Pittsburgh, Fences tells the story of Troy Maxson, a black man in his middle years who struggles to provide for his family. In his prime, Troy was a standout baseball player. Due to the color barrier as well as a prison sentence, he was never able to pursue his dream of having a professional Major League Baseball career.
