MEDINA, OH (October 1, 2018) - Ohio Regional Music Arts and Cultural
Outreach (ORMACO) opens its 2018/19 World Tour of Music Concert Series
with The Music of Leonard Bernstein: The Best of All Possible Worlds on
October 27, 2018 at Highland High School Auditorium, 4150 Ridge Road,
Medina, OH 44256 at 8pm. This concert will celebrate one of America’s great
musical legends, Leonard Bernstein on the 100th anniversary of his birth.
Composer, conductor, scholar, activist, Bernstein was truly a citizen of
the world.

This concert will feature a selection from his catalog of great
compositions including well-known titles such as *West Side Story* and
*Candide*, to lesser known gems such as *I Hate Music* and *Chichester
Psalms*. Led from the piano by New York-based *Steven Gross*, the concert
will feature acclaimed Northeast Ohio-based singers *Melissa Davis*
 (soprano), *Nancy Maultsby*(mezzo), *Shane Patrick O’Neill* (tenor) and *Fabio
Polanco* (baritone). The event will include historical and anecdotal
recollections, multi-media footage, plus much more to honor this iconic
American artist who through his work helped create “The Best of All
Possible Worlds”.

During the week of October 22, Gross and Davis will be presenting school
and library workshops throughout the region. For details on the library

(credit card fees apply), at all Medina County Buehler’s stores. $12 in
advance; $15 at the door (cash or checks only).

The World Tour of Music Fall residency is made possible in part, by
underwriting from the following: Ohio Arts Council, Medina Breakfast
Kiwanis Club, Lorain Medina Rural Electric People Fund, Armstrong, Medina
County District Library, Jan Leatherman and the Medina County Arts Council.

Now in its eighth year, ORMACO is a mostly volunteer non-profit with the
mission of making music, arts and culture available to all, with a focus on
programs for underserved, disadvantaged and rural populations.
