*What to Prepare:* Please bring a resume and headshot. Prepare 1 minute of
a depression era song and 1 minute of a contemporary song. Both contrasting
and preferably not from the show. Prepare your sheet music for an
accompanist. No, a capella or taped music. If invited to callbacks, scene
work, and further music will be given.

*Rehearsals:* Will begin in April

*Bonnie & Clyde - Character* *Breakdown*

*Clyde Barrow, *Male, Age: 18 to 25, Vocal range C5- A2, A charming
small-town boy who craves notoriety. Bonnie's reckless, bold, daring lover.
Sings “Picture Show”, “This Will Remember Me”, “When I Drive”, “You Can Do
Better Than Him”, "Raise a Little Hell", "This World Will Remember Us",
"Too Late to Turn Back Now", "What Was Good Enough For You", "Bonnie",

*Bonnie Parker, *Female, Age: 18 to 25, F5-G3, A beautiful girl torn
between love and fame. Clyde's ambitious, stubborn lover. Sings "Picture
Show", "This World Will Remember Me", "How 'Bout a Dance?", "You Love Who
You Love", "This World Will Remember Us", "Too Late to Turn Back Now",
"What Was Good Enough For You", "Dyin' Ain't So Bad", "Dyin' Ain't So Bad
(reprise)", "How 'Bout a Dance? (reprise)"

*Marvin "Buck" Barrow, *Male, Age: 25 to 35, Vocal range G4-B2, Clyde's
brother and an outlaw troubled by his wife's distaste for his lifestyle.
Adventurous and loyal. Sings "You're Goin' Back to Jail", "When I Drive",
"Raise a Little Hell (reprise)"

*Blanche Barrow, *Female, Age: 25 to 35, Vocal range Eb5-G3, A religious
woman who disapproves of the criminal lifestyle. Honorable and righteous.
Married to Buck Barrow. Sings "You're Goin' Back to Jail", "God's Arms Are
Always Open", "You Love Who You Love", "That's What You Call a Dream",
"God's Arms Are Always Open (reprise)"

*Cumie** Barrow, *Female, Age: 40 to 55, A kind woman among those suffering
in the Depression. Loyal and selfless. Mother to Clyde and Buck.

*Sherriff* *Schmid, *Male

*Ted Hinton, *Male, Age: 18 to 25, Vocal range, A4-C3, A police officer
struggling to separate his feelings from his duties. Kind and honest. Madly
in love with Bonnie. Sings "You Can Do Better Than Him", "Raise a Little
Hell (reprise)", "You Can Do Better Than Him (reprise)"

*Young Clyde, *Male, Age: 8 to 12, Vocal range A5- B3 Sings "Picture Show",
"Picture Show (reprise)"

*Young Bonnie, *Female, Age: 8 to 12, Vocal range C5-C#4. Sings "Picture
Show", "Picture Show (reprise)"

*Emma Parker, *Female, Age: 40 to 55, Bonnie's widowed mother. Fragile,
caring, sensitive.

*Preacher, *Male, Age: 45 to 65, Vocal range C5-A2, The town's evangelist.
Loud, passionate, boisterous. Sings "God's Arms Are Always Open", "Made in
America", "God's Arms Are Always Open (reprise)"

*Henry Barrow, *Male, Age: 45 to 55, A hard-working man, struggling to
survive. Humble and quiet. Father of Clyde and Buck.

*Governor Miriam Ferguson, *Female, Age: 40 to 60, An enforcer of the law
and Governor of Texas. Tough and harsh.

*Captain Frank **Hamer**, *Male, Age: 45 to 65, A retired Texas Ranger who
joins the hunt for Bonnie and Clyde. Recruited by Governor Ferguson.

*Bob Alcorn, *Male, Age: 30 to 45, The best sharpshooter in Texas.
Recruited by Frank Hamer, he helps hunt down Bonnie and Clyde.

*3 Salon Women* (from ensemble).  Sings "You're Goin' Back to Jail"

*Ensemble, *Store Clerks; Cops/Guards; Bank Customers; Congregation Choir;
Bread Line Folks. Sings "God's Arms Are Always Open", "Made in America"
