Regular Rehearsals will start August 4th. Rehearsals will be held based on actor availability. 4-5 days a week expected. Sunday-Thursday 7-10

PREPARATION
Please prepare 2 contrasting 32 bars of a song in the style of the show (PLEASE DO NOT SING MATERIAL FROM THE SHOW).
Bring sheet music in the appropriate key (accompanist will be provided).
Bring a headshot and resume if you have them.
Please bring a list of conflict dates you may have during the rehearsal period. No conflicts will be accepted for any performance dates or during tech week.
Medina does not offer union contracts or cast understudies and all performers are volunteers.

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS

Show Information:
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney's The Little Mermaid, Beauty And The Beast, and Aladdin) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down-and-out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Casting Requirements
Looking for a cast of 8, ages 16+ for all roles.

Seymour Krelborn
An insecure, put-upon florist's clerk and eventual hero. He is a genuine, well-meaning man who is taken for granted because of his clumsy ways and poor social skills.

Age: 18 to 30
Vocal range:A2-G4

Audrey
Bleached-blond, Billie-Dawn-like, secret love of Seymour's life. She has poor self-worth and education, but incredibly good looks and a sweet and vulnerable demeanor.
Gender: Female
Age: 18 to 30
Vocal range: G#3-D5

Mr. Mushnik
The seasoned owner of the failing East Side flower shop and Seymour's nosy boss. He is profit-driven, greedy, and manipulative.
Gender: Male
Age: 40 to 65
Vocal range: G2-F4

Orin Scrivello
An egotistical dentist with a passion for leather and sadistic tendencies. Audrey's abusive boyfriend, who is targeted by Seymour. This Actor will also serve as the entire ensemble, playing close to 7 other characters of both genders.
Gender: Male
Age: 20 to 40
Vocal range: G2-G4

Audrey 2
An actor/vocalist located offstage. The voice is that of a conniving, street-smart 'villain.' A funky Rhythm and Blues voice is best.
Gender: Male or Female
Age: 20 to 50
Vocal range top: G2-G4

Crystal, Ronnette and Chiffon
Street urchins, acting as the occasional Greek Chorus. Young, hip, and smart, these girls are the only ones who have a grip on reality.
Gender: Female/Male
Age: 18 to 40
Vocal range: Ab3-F5

All Genders, Body Types, and Ethnicities will be considered for all parts. Most Characters will play multiple parts.
