AUDITIONS - THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD - Beck Center Youth Theater

Beck Center for the Arts Youth Theater, one of the oldest continuously running Youth Theaters in the country, will be holding auditions on September 14 & 15, 2019 for the first production of our 71st Season:

The Trials of Robin Hood
Written by Will Averill
Directed by Russel Stich

The Story:
Robin Hood: lusty hero, hopeless lover, or evil criminal? Upon his return from the Crusades, King Richard is forced to try and figure out what happened in his kingdom during his absence. Is the outlaw Robin Hood a hero, a lovelorn sap, or just plain mean? Told from the perspectives of Robin himself, Maid Marian, and Prince John, this hilarious tale combines three different stories into one. Whose story will King Richard and the audience believe?

Audition/Callback dates: (open to Beck Center students ages 6 to 19*)

*         Saturday, September 14: 2:00 to 5:00pm

& Sunday, September 15: 12:00 to 3:00pm

*Please note: Youth Theater roles are only eligible to students who will be enrolled in our Fall 2019 semester. Actors do not need to be enrolled at the time of the auditions, however, participation in the actual production does require Beck Center enrollment in our Fall 2019 semester. Students do not need to be specifically enrolled in a Theater class at Beck Center to qualify. Students enrolled in a Fall 2019 semester class in Beck Center's Dance, Music and Visual Arts Departments are equally eligible.

Bottom line: if you are accepting a role in the show, you will need to enroll prior to the start of rehearsals. Any questions, please feel free to contact Sarah Clare, Associate Director of Theater Education, at sclare at beckcenter.org<mailto:sclare at beckcenter.org>.
