It has never been so easy to break into voice acting, and it has never been so difficult to make a living at it.

If you’re going to build a v/o career, you’ll need something that clients are willing to pay for. No, not your pretty voice. Pretty voices are (literally) a dime a dozen. What clients value is a voice actor with skill. What skills? The ability to break down a script and understand it as well as the writer did; to connect to the message emotionally; to become the person who is compelled to say these words. You’ll need to know how to take direction, how to go beyond the direction, and even when to ignore the direction.

And of course, much more.

We have seats available for our Voiceover Fundamentals Class running from October 26 - November 23rd. We’ll meet each Saturday from 2 - 4pm at Colors Audio. The cost is $400 for 10 hours of study. At the end of your training you should have the basic skills and understanding necessary to get this work, and do this work.

You can find more information here: http://www.colorsaudio.com/voice-over-training <http://www.colorsaudio.com/voice-over-training>

Please send me an email if you’d like to register, or ask questions. In my biased opinion, there will never be a more affodable opportunity to get this level of training for launching into the world of voice acting.

Recent graduate David Thomas wrote: "If you're on the fence about taking this class, I highly recommend jumping on board should you be seriously ready to jump into the voiceover world! You'll learn so much in each session from Dan's years of experience. He's very down to earth and gives individualized advice."
All the best.
