AFTER PARKLAND SCREENING AND AUDIENCE DISCUSSION AT THE CAPITOL THEATRE
Special screening to help raise awareness of gun violence

(Cleveland, OH) The Capitol Theatre (1390 W. 65th St., Cleveland) will be hosting a special screening of AFTER PARKLAND on Wednesday, February 12th at 7:30 PM to commemorate the upcoming 2nd anniversary of the tragic school shooting in Florida.

Filmed in the days after the shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018 that killed 17 people and launched a nationwide student movement, this intimate chronicle follows the students and families whose lives were forever transformed - including senior David Hogg, who recorded his class during the attack and became the face of the Never Again movement. Weaving together interviews with the victims' loved ones, verité footage, and personal videos, AFTER PARKLAND is a moving portrait of grief and one community's crusade to turn tragedy into progress.

Following the screening there will be an audience discussion lead by Kim Chapple and Steve Ritchey from the Ohio Coalition Against Gun Violence (OCAGV). 25% of all concession sales that evening will also benefit OCAGV.

“The Capitol Theatre is proud to play a vital role in the community by showing important films such as AFTER PARKLAND,” says Dave Huffman of Cleveland Cinemas. "What sets the Capitol apart from other theatres is our dedication to presenting great documentaries like this and hosting audience discussions."

Tickets are $9.75 for adults, $8.75 for students and military, $7 for seniors and $6.75 for children. Tickets can be purchased at the Capitol Theatre box office or online at clevelandcinemas.com or fandango.com.
