Forsix years Dr. Stacy Erickson-Pesetski has brought Shakespeare into a variety ofprisons in Indiana, Michigan, and Illinois. This talk will focus on her mostrecent adventure reading plays with male offenders ages 13-18 at LogansportJuvenile Correctional Facility in Indiana. Bringing Shakespeare into prisonsgives us insight into the universality of these centuries-old texts as well asthe talent and empathy hidden in our correctional facilities.
