| Hello NEohioPAL subscribers! 
We are looking for an energetic child-loving worker with an affinity for music to join our staff in the role of a Musical Transdisciplinary Aide.  Right now the position is part time with the potential to increase hours over time. 



Candidate must be dependable, have a strong work ethic, take direction and supportive critique well, be an exceptional communicator and team collaborator. They will hold children of all abilities in the highest regard and value the importance of the Family in the treatment and educational process. They will be gifted in guitar (other instruments a plus) and able to carry a tune well (seriously! Kids with autism often have perfect pitch so singing on key is important). 




Responsibilities of Aide: 
   
   -    
50% of duties include direct child care to assist students in daily school and therapy routines. In addition, the just right candidate will be capable of/comfortable with running "music time" sessions where playing guitar/omnichord/electric piano etc will facilitate child engagement, foster movement, and stimulate vocalization). Sessions will be conducted with fellow staff for small group work and/or 1:1 once approved for independent work with children. 

   -    
Following proper autism training, aides are required to help implement lessons and treatment protocols designed by our professional Intervention Specialist, Occupational Therapist and Speech/Language Pathologist where music may NOT be featured.

   -    
50% of duties include administrative tasks, material preparation, engineering the environment for success and daily cleaning of materials and space especially given COVID-19 management requirements. 


Job Description 
   
   -    
Aides work 1:1 or in small groups of 2 to 3 children. Daily routines might include school work, music, motor time, play time, chore time, feeding, toileting and grooming, so candidates must be capable of performing strenuous physical activity ad be willing to provide hygiene support to students not yet independent in these areas. 

   
   -    
Hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 – 12:00 pm

   -    
Rates $10-$12 depending on experience

Interviews arranged on a first come first serve basis but looking to complete the first round of interviews by Friday August 21st

Must have reliable transportation and ongoing ability to participate in videoconferencing, ideally Google Meet/Hangout or Zoom.

All New Hires are required to complete our online training program entitled (no fee). 

   -    
Previous autism experience is a plus but on the job training is provided.

   -    
Eastside-dwellers will have the travel advantage as we are in Lake County but all interested and qualified are welcome to apply!
