[NEohioPAL] OH! That’s Funny! 101 Hilarious Ohio Jokes Available from Outlandish Press; Ohio Writer Makes Debut with Ohio Joke Book

*OH! That’s Funny! 101 Hilarious Ohio Jokes* has just been released by
Cleveland-based publisher *Outlandish Press*. The collection of local
jokes, all pertaining to Ohio, was the brainchild of Cleveland-area
writer/publicist *Marjorie J. Preston* and her friends and family. The book
is available at www.marjoriepreston.com and at Northeast Ohio bookstores
including Mac’s Backs, Appletree and Fireside with more stores to come.



         Eight years ago, Preston was asked by a friend to write a book of
Ohio jokes, and she and her friends and family came up with several
zingers. The book was mostly complete in late 2012, but it took a pandemic
for her to actually publish it! Preston hopes to bring some levity back to
American discourse with this collection of one-hundred and one jokes.



         In 2012, Marjorie J. Preston released an ebook of her daughter’s
funny quotes in an ebook entitled *Emmaisms*. That ebook, where Preston is
credited as editor and her daughter Emma Preston is credited as author, is

Preston previously contributed to a book about Generation X by Claire
Raines called *Beyond Generation X*. As a thirty-year swimming instructor,
Preston has been published as a freelance aquatics writer in publications
from California to Florida to New York. She has also written for the Sun
Newspapers as both a theatre critic for seven years and their “Hillcrest
Happenings” columnist. Preston performs improv with Angry Ladies of Improv
and Cleveland Improv Jam – via Zoom these days – and is involved in other
artistic collaborations to come, including those with local author Chip
Caviness. *OH! That’s Funny! 101 Hilarious Ohio Jokes* is Preston’s first
book.



The book is dedicated to three Cleveland-area contributors, friends of hers
who passed away before it could be published: Andy Craze, Mark Rapp and
Norman Tischler. Preston hopes their family and friends enjoy the jokes
they provided.
