*Call For Directors:  “Wake Up to Life:  Out of the Ashes”    *


*Wake Up and Live’s Actors Studio *is seeking directors for its upcoming
project, “Wake Up to Life:  Out of the Ashes ” which features 4
African-American playwrights, Ade Borishade, Evonne Fields-Gould, Peter A.
Fields and Rebecca Morris.

The Director will collaborate with the Producer to create a showcase of the
playwrights’original works scheduled for live Covid-friendly productions,
Saturday, May 15, 7:00 P, and Sunday, May 16, 3:00 P, at Rainey Institute.
Rehearsal schedules, via Zoom, TBD.

Live performances may be replaced, or supplemented with Zoom, etc.



*Requirements for Candidates*

Must have strong knowledge and skills in working with Zoom and other
virtual media.

Prefer Director who is, or was, an actor.

Director has at least 2 directorial credits within last 5 years.

Must know how to do actors’ craft and production tech:  interpreting and
analyzing, character development, scene study, set design, lighting, sound
and wardrobe, etc.

Must submit at least one directorial reference from another director, or
actor the Candidate has directed.

Additional directorial requirements as needed.
