[NEohioPAL] CPT PANTHER WOMEN: AN ARMY FOR THE LIBERATION summer tour is seeking an African American Female Stage Manager

India Nicole Burton, Artistic Associate at  Cleveland Public Theatre is directing Panther Women: An Army for the Liberation summer tour workshop and is need of an African American, Woman, Stage-Manager.

Panther Women workshop summer tour will begin rehearsals on Monday May 24th with a 6 week rehearsal process and three weekend, in person, outdoor, run of performances. The piece will perform in at least two venues in Cleveland, Ohio, that will begin on July 1st through July 18th.


Stage Manager Qualifications:
* Though not required, but recommended, has  1 to 2 years of stage-management experience. THIS NOT A REQUIRMENT
*The ideal candidate for this position would need great organizational skills such as documentation skills, organizing production meetings and nightly rehearsal reports.
* A desire and passion and to work on and with African American Women stories. This is a piece that is highly collaborative.
* Must be able to meet for rehearsals, 4 times during the week between the hours of 5:30pm-10:30pm.
Must be able to meet for weekend rehearsal on Sat's between the hours of 12:30p-6pm
* Though not required, there is a desire that the candidate is Covid vaccinated. THIS NOT A REQUIREMENT
*  A strong willingness to learn about the diverse and inclusivity of Cleveland Public Theatre's environment.

Panther Women Synopsis: Panther Women: An Army for the Liberation, Through the lens of an African American women, who has decided to take a journey to understand herself more, the play  uses the stories of 3 prominent women, who were apart of the Black Panther Party and Liberation movement of the 60's and 70's. The play uses their stories as a catalyst to explore the dilemma's, obstacles and joy of the African American woman in general. The play is an high energy, movement piece with poetry, monologues, dance and song.
