[NEohioPAL] NEOMFA Playwrights Festival Opens This Thursday at con-con

For the eleventhyear, convergence-continuum continues its successful collaboration with theNortheast Ohio Master of Fine Arts (NEOMFA)in Creative Writing Program.  TheFestival runs two weekends, Thursday-Saturday at 8 pm, with different playseach weekend.

Week 1 (Feb 10-12) featuresthe One Act  play Nothing’s Magicby Gabrielle DiDonato, directed by Eva Nel Brettrager, featuring actors SarahBlubaugh, Samantha Cocco, Emelio Fernandez, Adam Harry, TJ Hayes, Claire Scottand Hanna Woodside. In addition, two 10-minute plays, The Confession by EricMansfield, directed by JC Cifranic and The Ocean Breathes Salty by DavidHansen and directed by KR Jones, will be presented. These ten minute plays alsofeature Samantha Cocco, Lifan Deng, Adam Harry, Emmett Podorgski, Clare Scottand Hanna Woodside.

Week 2 (Feb 17-19) featuresthe one-act play Are We There Yet? by Laura Barbieri, directed by JCCifranic, and the Full length Play Six-Bullets Faith by JustinLazor, directed by Amy Bistok. The Week 2 plays feature the following castmembers in various roles: Denise Astorino, Sarah Blubaugh, Rob Daniels,. LifanDeng, Lynna Metrisin, David Munnell, Amanda Rowe-Van Allen, David Thonnings,and Kim Woodworth.
The 2020 NEOMFA Playwrights Festival opens Thursday, Feb. 10 and runs at 8 p.m. Thursdays, Fridays andSaturdays through Feb. 19 at the Liminis Theater, 2438 Scranton Rd., Cleveland,OH 44113 in the historic Tremont neighborhood.
