[NEohioPAL] Porthouse Theatre Seeks Child Actor to Appear in West Side Story

Porthouse Theatre seeks a male or male identifying child for special appearance in West Side Story.  Looking a child who is or can appear to be between 6-10 (They can be older if they look young).  All races and ethnicities encouraged to audition.

Please submit a ballad with accompaniment not to exceed 1 minute.  Child cast members will be singing  “Somewhere” and will also appear in the final scene of the show.

Submission can be sent to the Producing Artistic  Director, Terri Kent, at tkent at kent.edu.

Rehearsals begin July 12 and run through July 28 and are Tuesday through Sunday 10-6. Performances run July 28-August 14, Tuesday-Saturday at 8:00 PM and Sunday at 2:00 PM.  Tech week is July 26-28 and rehearsals will switch to an afternoon/evening schedule.  The children will be called to rehearsal ONLY WHEN NEEDED.  A gas stipend is available.
