[NEohioPAL] A Festival of Lessons and Carols. The Sounds of St. James

St. James Catholic Church will continue its Sounds of St. James concerts with a special Festival of Nine Lessons and Carol on Saturday, December 17, at 7:30 pm. This will feature singers from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music accompanied on the organ by Adam Chlebek, St. James' music director performing Christmas works by Elgar, Lauridsen, Biebl, and Howell­­­s as well as a selection of classic traditional carols. The program will follow the Lessons and Carols format of nine short readings from scripture telling of the coming of the Messiah and the Nativity narratives of the Gospels, each followed by a musical selection. This will be followed by a Benediction and exposition of the Blessed Sacrament as well as refreshments downstairs.
