Director Don Carrier is seeking three actors for Beck Center's upcoming
production of *DOUBT---A* *Parable* by John Patrick Shanley.

*DOUBT *will play in Beck's intimate Studio Theatre from May 26th through
June 25th. Performances are Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only. It is
anticipated that the rehearsal process will begin circa Mid-April.

Auditions for the three available roles will occur *by appointment
only* on *Monday,
Feb. 20th* and *Tuesday, Feb. 21st*, with appointments being taken for
slots both days beginning at 5:30PM. To procure an appointment slot, *please
call Beck Center patron services line at 216-521-2540*.

Please prepare a monologue no longer than 90 seconds in length. While a
prepared monologue is vastly preferred, material will be available to read
in lieu of a memorized piece.

AEA actor Derdrui Ring has been cast as *Sister Aloysius Beauvier*, leaving
one remaining AEA contract (Special Appearance Tier 2) available.
Non-Equity actors for this production will also receive compensation.

*Below are character descriptions provided by the director: *

*Father Brendan Flynn: (Male, in his late 30s) Caucasian. He is a warm,
athletic, empathetic priest from working class origins. He is of the new
generation of Catholic priests who look to change tradition. *

*Sister James: (Female, in her mid 20s) Very altruistic, sunny personality.
A teacher at the school. A little overwhelmed by the situation but gains
confidence and perspective throughout the play.  *

*Mrs. Muller: (Female, in her late 30s) African American. A working class
mother of a 12 year old boy who is a student at the school. She is
pragmatic about the options available to her son to whom Father Flynn has
shown a particular interest.  *

Callbacks for DOUBT will occur the weekend of February 25/26 TBD.
