*THE SECRET GARDEN (A PLAY) *

The literary classic beloved for years comes to the SCA stage this spring.
Mary Lennox, known as a difficult child, is sent to live at her uncle’s
estate in England-Misselthwaite Manor which turns out to be a gloomy
fortress.  Her uncle is rarely home, and his young son, Colin, never leaves
his room, convinced he’s an incurable invalid.  To her surprise, Mary
discovers a strange walled garden that has been locked up for years.  With
the assistance of Dickon, the gardener’s apprentice, Mary brings the garden
back to life with wonderful, magical effects on all who come into it. The
garden helps Mary to restore Colin to health and to reunite him with his
father once and for all.  **Students MUST LIST ALL conflicts with regular
rehearsals on audition form. Availability will be a consideration in
casting. There are NO ABSENCES permitted during Mandatory Technical or
Dress Rehearsals.*

*Group Auditions (*Pick 1 of 2)*: Monday January 8 *OR* Tuesday January 9
(5:30 - 7:30 PM each night) **Students should plan on staying the entire
time*

*Callbacks: ***There will be NO CALLBACKS for this production *

*Audition Material & Sign Up*: Students should review the audition
materials given and familiarize themselves with them. Memorization is
encouraged but not required.  Monologue and scene selections will be
provided via email upon sign ups.

*First Rehearsal: *Wednesday Jan 10 5:30 - 7:30 PM

*Rehearsals: *Mondays and Wednesdays (5:30 - 7:30 PM) and Saturdays (11:30
AM - 1:30 PM) beginning Jan 10-March 2
**No rehearsals January 13 or 15 and February 17 or 19*

*Mandatory Technical/Dress Rehearsals: *Monday March 4 - Thursday March 7
from 5:30 - 8:30 PM

*Performances: *Friday, March 8 at 7 PM, Saturday, March 9 at 2 and 7 PM
and Sunday, March 10 at 2 PM

*Call Time: *5 PM call Friday and Saturday night. 12 PM call Saturday and
Sunday afternoon.
* Production Fee*: $135 *Due by first rehearsal
