    Lighting Designer/Programmer

The Chagrin Valley Little Theatre (CVLT) is looking for a lighting 
Designer/Programmer to work on a contract basis to design the lighting 
and program the CVLT Main Stage lighting console (ETC Ion Xe 20

  * Performance Dates: *Nov 15 - Dec 15, 2024*
  * Tech Saturday: Nov 9, 2024 Tech Sunday: Nov 10, 2024
  * 40 River Street, Chagrin Falls OH


      Duties

In this position, the Lighting designer will work closely with the 
show’s director to achieve the desired lighting vision utilizing the 
existing CVLT lighting inventory consisting of conventional instruments 
(Lekos, Fresnels), LED wash instruments, LED Specials (COB Cannons), LED 
Movers and, if needed, follow spots.

  * The Lighting designer will develop a working light plot in
    conjunction with the director and projection effects designer.
  * Once the plot is approved, the lighting designer will hang, circuit
    and focus lighting instruments as needed for the show.
  * Additionally, the lighting designer shall program the CVLT lighting
    console for all necessary cues required for the show.
  * The lighting design shall be implemented and tested before "tech
    Saturday," the weekend before opening.
  * The lighting designer will need to be onsite during tech week/dress
    rehearsal to make any changes to cues or refocus instruments as needed.
  * The lighting designer will also be available opening night to
    oversee the show operator and take care of any problems. (Note: the
    lighting console will be operated by others during the show’s run.)


      Requirements

  * The lighting designer should be familiar with programming an ETC Ion
    Xe 20
    <https://www.etcconnect.com/Products/Consoles/Eos-Family/Ion-Xe/Features.aspx>
    dual monitor DMX console.
  * Basic understanding of DMX controlled LED instruments and movers.
  * Comfort on ladder / catwalk work to hang and focus lights.
