(https://edenvalleyenterprises.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=656de637cc82c10ef7c222d0e&id=dcdfd2da7a&e=8461322d50) Hear the story of Emma Gatewood's remarkable hike in 1955 at the age of 67 after raising 11 children and surviving domestic abuse in this storytelling program with PowerPoint slides. *Tuesday, April 8, 2025; 6:30p.m.: The Euclid Library (https://edenvalleyenterprises.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=656de637cc82c10ef7c222d0e&id=604365be5a&e=8461322d50) will host a presentation of OVER THE FALLS AND OTHER STORIES OF THE GREAT LAKES. Find out about the resorts of Lake Erie, the daredevils of Niagara Falls and other highlights from the inland seas in this storytelling program which will be at the Shore Cultural Center; 291 E 222nd St. Room 41; Euclid, Ohio. There is no charge for this presentation which is open to the public. For more information contact the library at (216) 261-5300.

*Thursday, April 17, 2025; 12:30p.m.: The Johnson City Parks And Recreation Department Of Senior Services office, 510 Bert Street, Johnson City, Tennessee, will show * VICTORIA WOODHULL: SHATTERING GLASS CEILINGS (https://edenvalleyenterprises.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=656de637cc82c10ef7c222d0e&id=de2ea4f127&e=8461322d50) .* This documentary tells the story of the first woman to run for President in 1872 at a time when she couldn't vote for herself AND she was in jail on election day! There will be a Q & A session after the film with producer, Bette Lou Higgins. Tickets are $5.00/person and include lunch. Registration is required by April 15. *Sunday, April 27, 2025; 3:30p.m.: The Cleveland Metroparks (https://edenvalleyenterprises.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=656de637cc82c10ef7c222d0e&id=74ae3cf03b&e=8461322d50) will host a screening of * TRAIL MAGIC: THE GRANDMA GATEWOOD STORY (https://edenvalleyenterprises.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=656de637cc82c10ef7c222d0e&id=370e4d5407&e=8461322d50) * at the Brecksville Nature Center, 9000 Chippewa Creek Dr. in Brecksville, Ohio. Grandma Emma Gatewood was the first woman to solo thru-hike the 2,050-mile Appalachian Trail in 1955 at the age of 67 after raising 11 children and surviving domestic abuse. This is the 70th Anniversary of her historic hike and the Emmy-nominated documentary will be shown in her honor on Ohio's Grandma Gatewood day. Foster Brown, who provided some of the music for the sound track of the film, will provide pre-show music. Tickets are $5.00/person. Contact the Nature Center at 440-526-1012 for information and reservations.
