Seat of the Pants is excited to present two readings of Christopher
Johnston's new play, MRS. LINCOLN IS MAD, on Saturday, July 26th. There
will be a matinee reading at 1:30 in Akron at Akron Christian Reformed
Church; a 7:30 evening reading will take place in Westlake at Clague
Playhouse. Both readings will be followed by a curated talkback with the
audience, and Christopher would greatly appreciate your insights and
thoughts before he does his next round of edits.

MRS. LINCOLN IS MAD explores the life and struggles of First Lady Mary Todd
Lincoln and the reverberations of mental illness across generations. The
play includes descriptions of mental illnesses such as schizophrenia and
bipolar disorder, a discussion of sexual abuse by a family member, and
mentions of animal cruelty.

This fourth offering in Seat of the Pants' Salon Series is directed by
Scott Esposito, produced by Lisa Wiley, and features Trey Gilpin, Lisa
Langford*, Anne McEvoy, Katherine Nash, Christian Sanko, Tammy Shanley, and
Doug Sutherland.
