Celebrate Lunar New Year with a journey across the Silk Road!
Join the Silk Road Cultural Collective on Saturday, January 31, from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Solon Community Center for the Solon Lunar New Year Celebration — a vibrant afternoon of culture, history, and artistic performance.
Step back in time as we bring the ancient Silk Road to life with live armor and weapons demonstrations, authentic Tang to Ming Dynasty attire (7 to 17th centuries), and fascinating displays that highlight Asia’s rich heritage. Meet our cultural reenactors, artists, and educators as they share stories that connect history with today's diverse communities.
This family-friendly event is the perfect way to ring in the Year of the [insert zodiac animal for 2026 — Horse] while exploring how the Silk Road shaped art, trade, and tradition across continents.
