Set Builder job description:
The Set Builder is responsible for constructing, installing, and striking
scenic elements for French Creek productions. This role works closely with
the Scenic Designer, and production team to safely and accurately bring the
scenic design to life within budget and schedule constraints. Offering

*Skills:*

   - · Experience in theatrical set construction or related carpentry work
   - · Ability to interpret and build from technical drawings, renderings,
   and construction documents
   - · Proficiency with hand and power tools (saws, drills, routers,
   pneumatic tools)
   - · Knowledge of stage hardware and scenic construction techniques
   - · Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work safely on ladders or lifts
   - · Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines


*Requirements:*

   - · Construct flats, platforms, stairs, wagons, and specialty scenic
   elements
   - · Frame, skin, and assemble scenic units
   - · Install hardware, casters, hinges, and mechanical elements as needed
   - · Assist with priming/base coat painting and surface treatments when
   required
   - · Load in, install, and secure scenery on stage
   - · Review rehearsal reports for adjustments and notes
   - · Safely strike and store scenery after productions close
   - · Return stage to preshow conditions
   - · Maintain shop tools, equipment, and workspace cleanliness
