*Program of Sing Stark, Canton, Ohio*

Sing Stark seeks an inclusive, collaborative *Music Director* to lead *Sing
Out*, Stark County’s LGBTQ+ community choir. This stipend position provides
artistic leadership while fostering a welcoming, affirming, and musically
engaging rehearsal environment aligned with our mission: *Igniting the
power of singing to inspire our community and improve health and
well-being.*

*Responsibilities include:*
• Leading weekly rehearsals and conducting performances
• Selecting diverse, affirming repertoire
• Cultivating a psychologically safe and inclusive ensemble culture
• Collaborating with the Executive Director on season planning
• Supporting singer engagement and recruitment



*Qualifications:*

• Commitment to LGBTQ+ inclusion and community-centered leadership
• Degree in music or equivalent experience
• Choral conducting and rehearsal leadership experience
• Strong vocal pedagogy skills

Rehearsals are on Thursday evenings during the two 12-week cycles each
season. Stipend paid per cycle.
