FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE August 15, 2023 MTC to Hold Auditions for Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street *Youngstown, Ohio* - The Millennial Theatre Company (MTC) is holding auditions for Sweeney Todd; The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. Auditions will be held in the basement of The Hopewell Theatre in Youngstown (702 Mahoning Ave, Youngstown, OH 44502) on August 17 from 6-9pm and August 19 from 12-3pm. Rehearsals are slated to begin on August 21 and run from 6-9pm at The Hopewell Theatre. All actors will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID19, including the Omicron-specific booster, if eligible. Proof of vaccination will be required before the first rehearsal. Auditioners (ages 16+) should prepare a 30-60 second cut of a song in the style of the show. An accompanist and speaker will be provided. There will also be a cold read from the script.
