Really! This workshop is not just for actors, but for anyone who finds themselves needing support or craving more confidence in public speaking. The class will be capped at 20 participants, but additional interested parties may audit the workshop as well. This is a workshop for anyone who is interested in developing vocal agency and freedom and learning with instruction by one of Broadway’s most sought after voice coaches. What: This workshop will focus on harnessing the power of the human voice and breathing mechanism under the guidance of Broadway’s Dawn-Elin Fraser. We will identify and examine how and where we hold stress and tension in our bodies and how that affects our breath and voice work. We will then explore a range of scenarios from daily life and how mindfulness on the breath cycle can create more agency. These exercises are ideal for actors who get anxious in auditions or at performances, those who have to present in office spaces, classrooms or meetings, and those in customer service. Share with friends and colleagues, so they can secure their spot, too! Parking and other details will come upon registering for your slot in the workshop.
