You only need to attend ONE day of Auditions. One selection in the style of the show up to a minute in length (ie- one verse and one chorus). 2. Accompanist provided (no acapella singing) Bring complete sheet music and be sure the excerpt you will be singing is clearly marked where the excerpt starts and ends. We will be looking for the following when you audition: - Listening skills and receptivity to feedback - Positive behavior - Ability to sing consistently on pitch and with expression - A solid sense of beat and rhythm - Overall preparation (knowledge of song and self-presentation) Rehearsals will begin on Tuesday, September 3, at 6:00 PM and will be scheduled Monday through Friday between 5:00 and 9:00 p.m. You will not be called every day, only when you are needed to work. Please note that there may be some weekend rehearsals scheduled. Attendance at ALL tech week rehearsals, sitzprobe on October 10 (where the orchestra and cast will play and sing through the show), and all performances are mandatory. Tech rehearsals begin on Thursday, October 10, 2024, and run through Thursday, October 17, 2024.
