*DON’T WAIT– ACT NOW* *Announcing: Summer 2016 Youth Theatre Classes at The Cassidy Theatre Call 440-842-4600 for more information* StarDust! 4-6 year olds Mondays 10:00am-10:45am June 20th - August 8th 2016 Here’s a fun way for the youngest ones to get their start in theater! This non-stressful approach to basic acting will teach your star how to twinkle! This class will work on imagination, memorization and working together. A brief showcase featuring what they have learned will be presented free for family and friends Monday August 8th at 10:00 AM. *No Class on Monday July 4th. StarLight! 7-12 year olds Mondays 11:00 am- 12:00 pm June 20th - August 8th 2016 This class is for students who want to focus on acting. During the course of this program, students will be instructed in improvisation, character work, and voice and movement for acting. The program is designed to benefit children of all abilities and experience levels. Students must have basic reading skills. Studies will culminate in a free performance for family and friends Monday August 8th at 11:00 AM. *No Class on Monday July 4th. StarShine! 7-19 year olds (Students will be broken into smaller groups based on age) Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:00 am- 1:00pm June 21th - August 6th 2016 This is an active and exciting class for students to study musical theatre including; singing, acting, and dance. Students of any experience level are encouraged to attend. Students will develop audition skills, learn about theater history, creating a character, and building confidence. Studies will culminate in a free final performance for family and friends Saturday August 6th at 12:00 PM on the Cassidy mainstage. Shooting Stars!- ONE DAY ONLY Intro to Theater Class! Great for busy kids (Ages 8-18) Saturday July 16th at 12:00 pm- 3:00pm This one day, three hour course is designed for students who are interested in the arts but don’t have the time for our regular classes. Students will learn theater basics in a multi-age theater workshop. Program includes an acting workshop featuring games and scene work, a backstage tour including costumes and props, brief theater history, and much more! This introduction to the theater world is meant to broaden students' knowledge of the arts. Must have basic reading skills. Enroll early because space is limited! **There is a $10 discount for each additional family member registered. *You can register by phone, mail, or by stopping at the theater box office during our regular hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 9:30 am-3:30 pm.
