THE VIOLINS OF HOPE EDUCATIONAL CONCERTS Looking for 2 DYNAMIC ACTORS with strong verbal skills - 1 Female and 1 Male actor to appear in a series of Educational Concerts for The Cleveland Orchestra called The Violins of Hope. Both should be in their 20's. If the male actor has a working knowledge of Hebrew, it would be helpful BUT this is not a necessity. PERFORMANCES ARE DURING THE DAY, SO PLEASE CHECK SCHEDULE BELOW. There will be a $300.00 payment for your involvement. The production revolves around violins saved during the Holocaust that remain in use now by musicians in Israel and around the world. This is an hour-long presentation and there is about 15 minutes of text wedded into the 45 minutes of music. This is a mix of direct audience narration with very short scenes. This is a REMOUNT from last year and so the staging will be recreated. Performances will be held at the new Maltz Performing Arts complex at University Circle. This is the rehearsal/performance schedule. ALL performances are during the DAY. REHEARSALS (Depending on availability of the cast) Sunday- Feb 26- time depending on avail of cast Tuesday- Feb 28- 5:00-8:00 Wednesday- March 1 3:00 -8:00 (not the full time- depending on avail of cast) Friday- March 3 5:00-8:00 Sunday- March 5 time depending on avail of cast Monday 3/6 staging rehearsals at venue (time TBA) Tuesday, 3/7 10a-12 rehearsal with Orchestra Wednesday, 3/8 10 am Concert #1 12 noon Concert #2 Thursday, 3/9 10 am Concert #3 12 noon Concert #4 Friday 3/10 10 am Concert #5 12 noon Concert #6 Since there is very little text to learn and this is a remount, the rehearsal schedule is not heavy. Ideastream will also be taping this for Educational purposes, as a resource for students and NOT commercially distributed.
