Verb Ballets, Producing Artistic Director, Dr. Margaret Carlson invited as a panelist at Creating and Maintaining Wellness in Performing Artists Conference The Cleveland Clinic in conjunction with the Performing Arts Medicine Association presents Creating and Maintaining Wellness in Performing Artists on November 20-21, 2015. The conference is for all professionals who provide or are interested in care and training for performing artists. Verb Ballets, Producing Artistic Director, Dr. Margaret Carlson was honored to be invited as a panelist speaking on creating a culture of wellness in performing arts institutions. Dr. Carlson has worked internationally in performing, teaching, choreographing, and in arts administration. She will be leveraging her experience as Producing Artistic Director of Verb Ballets and knowledge including as a past dancer (Cleveland Ballet), ballet mistress (Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo), Director of the School of Dance at the University of Akron, and Dean of the School of Dance at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Dr. Carlson has developed a dance company that values and nurtures wellness. The Cleveland Clinic in collaboration with the Performing Arts Medicine Association strives to bridge the gap between medical professionals, research, and performing arts educators.
