It follows the story of a high school student with a bright future ahead of him, but heroin and addiction quickly become his top priority. The Mind, the only sober part left of his brain, believes in his ability to become clean, but it’s not that simple. The production, which will be performed at Geauga Theater, is also available to be performed at locations in the community. We would like to bring this important message to as many communities as possible. Contact educationoutreach@geaugatheater.org or call 440.285.7701 for more information. A portion of our prgram has been sponsored by Walmart Giving. Thank you! *AUDITIONS!* [image: leading ladies header] ------------------------------ *In this comedy by Ken Ludwig, the author of Lend Me A Tenor and Moon Over Buffalo, two English Shakespearean actors, Jack and Leo, find themselves so down on their luck that they are performing "Scenes from Shakespeare" on the Moose Lodge circuit in the Amish country of Pennsylvania. * *When they hear that an old lady in York, PA, is about to die and leave her fortune to her two long lost English nephews, they resolve to pass themselves off as her beloved relatives and get the cash. * *The trouble is they find out that the relatives aren't nephews, but nieces! * *They don't let a little thing like that stop them, though. * *Romantic entanglements abound.* *Directed by Mark Cipra* *Sponsored by Gem Electric* Sunday, December 11 from 1-3PM Monday, December 12 from 7-9PM Call backs (by invitation only): Wednesday, December 14 from 7-9PM Auditions will be held at the Geauga Lyric Arts Center 106 Water St Chardon, Oh (Across the street from theater) *Auditions Information:* *All roles are open. Has unfulfilled dreams of the great big world outside of central Pennsylvania. (Age: 25-35) DUNCAN WOOLEY: Local minister, engaged to Meg. A good man, but fussy, headstrong, egocentric. (Age: 40-45) DOC MYERS: Local doctor, Chief Moose, likeable curmudgeon, boisterous, stocky, father to Butch. (Age: 50's) LEO and JACK: Since they cross-dress as women, they must be clean-shaven in time for opening night :). Both must have great English accents. LEO CLARK: A Shakespearean actor, marginally gifted, charming yet mildly pompous, prone to temper tantrums, longs to achieve stardom. (Age: 35-45) JACK GABLE: A Shakespearean actor, easily dragged into Leo's harebrained schemes, nice guy, longs to settle down. (Age: 35-45) AUDREY: Extremely sweet and good-natured, an "intelligent airhead." Audrey roller-skates. The director would most likely be really impressed if auditioners showed up with their own roller skates prepared to dazzle. (Age: Early 20's) BUTCH MYERS: A little slow on the uptake, built like he played high school football, sincere, good-hearted. (Age: Early 20's) FLORENCE SNIDER: Meg's aunt, an extremely crusty lady, terrible eyesight, wealthy, wily, ailing... or hypochondriac? (Age: 60+)* This message was sent to operations@geaugatheater.org from: Geauga Lyric Theater Guild | officemgr@geaugatheater.org | Geauga Lyric Theater Guild | 106 Water St | Chardon, Oh 44024 Email Marketing by [image: iContact - Try It Free!] <http://www.icontact.com/a.pl/144186> Manage Your Subscription <http://app.icontact.com/icp/mmail-mprofile.pl?r=47078066&l=4980&s=H3GS&m=770563&c=591704> -- Erika Hansen Executive Director *Geauga Lyric Theater Guild* 106 Water Street Chardon, OH 44024 440.285.7701 operations@geaugatheater.org geaugatheater.org
