*AUDITIONS* *These Shining Lives* by Melanie Marnich Directed by Anne McEvoy *Tues., December 7 and Wed., December 8 at 7:00 pm at Clague Playhouse* *Show Dates: * March 11 - April 3, 2022 Performances on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm, Sunday at 2pm *Story:* *These Shining Lives* chronicles the strength and determination of women considered expendable in their day, exploring their true story and its continued resonance. Catherine and her friends are dying, it’s true; but theirs is a story of survival in its most transcendent sense, as they refuse to allow the company that stole their health to kill their spirits—or endanger the lives of those who come after them. *Cast: * 4 Women, 2 Men Age ranging from mid 20’s to early 30’s. Mr. Reed can be a bit older. All characters with the exception of Catherine play multiple roles in this poignant retelling of the historic events surrounding the young woman who worked in the clock factories in the early 20th century. Even as their health was being tragically compromised by unsafe work conditions, these women found the courage to stand up and fight back.
