Join us at Solon Center for the Arts this Fall 2023 This year’s Spotlight Youth Theater production is: HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL *SPOTLIGHT YOUTH THEATER *(Grades 6 - 8) *HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL JR (The Musical) *Disney Channel's smash hit movie musical comes to life this year on SCA’s stage! Troy, Gabriella and the students of East High must deal with issues of love, friends and family while balancing their classes and extracurricular activities. It’s the first day after winter break at East High and everyone is looking for their cliques. However, basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple causes an upheaval when they decide to audition for the annual school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well. **Students MUST LIST ALL conflicts with regular rehearsals on audition form. Availability will be a consideration in casting. Absences from rehearsals not previously disclosed will mean removal from parts of or the entire show (except in cases of emergency or illness).
