East Shore Church United Methodist, Euclid, OH, is seeking an experienced Choir Director for a part-time position of approximately 5-6 hours/week. Candidates should have choir directing experience, and excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, teamwork, and communications. The Choir Director will be responsible for conducting the Chancel Choir and accompanist for one rehearsal and warm-up per week, plus additional rehearsals needed for Advent Season, Holy Week and Music Sunday. The Choir Director will be involved in selecting music with the Pastor. We need a self starter and self motivated individual who will be able to work closely with the pastor, attend staff meetings, and be receptive to the needs of the congregation. Previous experience directing choirs is a must, and the candidate must have a good knowledge of current liturgical choral hymnal repertoire and contemporary music selections. Keyboard skills will also be a plus. • Rehearsal: Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 pm • Sunday morning warm-up, beginning at 10:00 am • Sunday Worship Service: 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 am This position is from Sunday after Labor Day through Music Sunday.
