*Auditions for Bat Boy: The Musical* Based on a story in *The Weekly World News*, *Bat Boy: The Musical *is a musical comedy/horror show about a half boy/half bat creature who is discovered in a cave near Hope Falls, West Virginia. Auditions will be held by appointment on Saturday, April 1 & Sunday, April 2 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. Auditioners (ages 17 and up) should sign up for an audition slot at www.broadview-heights-spotlights.org. No Equity contracts are available for this show. Invited callbacks, if necessary, may be scheduled. Rehearsals will begin at the end of May. The show runs July 13 - 23. The show will be directed by Tim Anderson and music directed by Ryan Bergeron. The show contains mature themes and innuendo. Please be familiar with the material before auditioning. Those auditioning should: - Plan to attend only one day of auditions. - Be familiar with the show and its music, language, and themes. - Prepare two one-minute, contrasting songs (one up-tempo, one ballad), at least one of these should be a rock song in the style of the show. - Bring sheet music in the correct keys, hole-punched in a three-ring binder. Singers will not be permitted to sing a cappella. - Bring a list of conflicts between May 30 and July 23.
